Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy Training

Advancing Research and Clinical Training
The Center for Integrative Psychology currently offers what we believe to be the only graduate course on psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy (PAP) within an APA-accredited doctoral program in clinical psychology. Soon, CIP will also offer elective practicum placements, allowing students to gain hands-on PAP training at local ketamine clinics.
Through ethical, informed, and embodied psychedelic practice, CIP’s PAP coursework prepares future clinicians to maximize benefit and minimize harm.
In addition, CIP actively supports and promotes research through student dissertations exploring various facets of psychedelic treatment. Check out our dissertation projects.

Curriculum Overview
CIP’s PAP coursework provides graduate students with a comprehensive overview of this re-emerging field. The course establishes a solid foundation of knowledge essential for clinicians to offer accurate, responsible information about the risks and benefits of psychedelic treatment.
More than just facts, CIP's psychedelic coursework centers experiential learning through role-plays and emphasizes the importance of set (e.g., intention setting) and setting (e.g., music, environment). Training also covers:
